Typography

Clear. Cross-Cultural. Confident.

ECI’s typography system reflects our identity as a multilingual, people-centered collaborative. It combines accessibility with warmth, and structure with flexibility—supporting both formal communication and community-focused messaging.

We use two primary typefaces that complement each other in tone and function:

Primary Typeface: Plus Jakarta Sans

Plus Jakarta Sans is our core display typeface. It brings clarity, friendliness, and modernity to ECI’s brand. Designed for high readability across print and digital platforms, it’s used for headlines, banners, and section titles that need to stand out.

Use Plus Jakarta Sans for:

  • Page titles and major section headers
  • Key navigation elements
  • Presentation titles Recommended Weights:
  • Semibold or Bold for titles
  • Medium for subheads
  • Regular for light emphasis

Secondary Typeface: Poppins

Poppins is a geometric sans-serif that adds softness and approachability to longer texts. Its round shapes and wide counters make it ideal for body copy, UI labels, and multilingual support, ensuring that every reader—regardless of language—feels invited.

Use Poppins for:

  • Paragraphs and descriptions
  • UI components and buttons
  • Labels, captions, and tooltips Recommended Weights:
  • Regular or Medium for body text
  • Bold for emphasis or call-to-action buttons

Best Practices

  • Maintain a clear hierarchy: Use Plus Jakarta Sans for titles, Poppins for body text.
  • Don’t mix too many weights or sizes on one screen or page.
  • Use contrast in size, spacing, and weight (not just color) to direct attention.
  • Prioritize legibility, especially in multilingual contexts.
  • Use adequate line height: 1.5x font size for body text recommended.
